Monday-

Objectives:  Students will be able to function in my classroom with little to no distraction by following the class rules and procedures

 

We will spend this day doing introductions as well as going over all of the rules.  For introductions students will be drawing constructing a picture of them with the following things on it

  • Your Grade in School

 

  • An activity you are involved in

 

  • Your favorite flower

 

  • Your family

 

  • Your future career

 

  • What you want to do after you graduate high school

 

  • Your pet

 

  • Your goal in life

 

  • Your favorite color

 

  • Your favorite food

 

  • Why you are taking principles of agriculture

 

Following introductions we will go over class rules and procedures.  We will practice 3 of the procedures we will have discussed before students leave.

 

Tuesday-

 

Objectives:  Students will understand many of the opportunities that the FFA can and will provide to them in this class.  

 

Today we will discuss the many things that the organization they are now involved with can offer to them.  Following our discussion they will be asked to fill out a google form explaining any of their interest in this organization so we can send them more information.

 

Wednesday-

(5)  The student analyzes the structure of agricultural leadership in organizations. The student is expected to:

(A)  develop premiere leadership skills and collaborate with others to accomplish organizational goals and objectives through the demonstration of characteristics such as empowerment, risk, communication, focusing on results, decision making, problem solving, investment in individuals, resource use and access, service, listening, coaching, developing others, team development, understanding and appreciating others, enthusiasm, creativity, conviction, mission, courage, focus, principles, change, integrity, values, ethics, humility, perseverance, self-discipline, responsibility, community, diversity, global awareness and knowledge, innovation, intuition, adaptation, lifelong learning, and coachability;

(B)  develop personal growth skills and collaborate with others to accomplish organizational goals and objectives through the demonstration of characteristics such as attitude, exercise, goal setting, planning, self-discipline, sense of balance, persistence, respect, friendship, integrity, morals, values, etiquette, citizenship, cross-cultural awareness, acceptance of change, respect for differences, decision making, principles, dependability, loyalty, trustworthiness, communication, learning, critical thinking, reasoning, creative thinking, problem solving, self-discovery, coping, friendship, self-reliance, sense of balance, empathy, compassion, ethics, coping, courage, and self-image or worth;

(C)  identify opportunities for leadership development and personal growth;

 

Today we will begin our unit over FFA knowledge and history.  We will start by downloading the FFA manual we will begin our unit be creating a mission statement.  “FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success.  They will then complete the worksheet on google classroom over the FFA mission statement.  

 

Warm Up-  Google classroom (Go on the White Oak high school home page and pull up the mission statement.)

 

Thursday- 5 a,b,c

 

Objectives:  Students will be able to state the FFA mission statement and motto

 

By the end of the class period I would like students to be able to say the mission statement as well as the FFA motto each for a daily grade.  After we have discussed the motto students will be asked to complete the worksheet on google classroom.  

 

Warm Up:  What do you think the FFA is?

 

Friday- 5 a,b,c

Both of the google classroom worksheets will be due before class today.

 

Objectives:  Students will be able to identify important dates in FFA history

 

Today will be a lecture type class with many engaging questions for the students.  We will discuss FFA structure as well as FFA history.  When we have completed these things students will need to complete the activity on google classroom.  
Warm Up:  Draw a picture of what official dress may have looked like in 1930
