Monday-  Students will say paragraph 3.  When they have completed paragraph 3 they will begin studying paragraph 4.  

 

Tuesday-  Students will write paragraph 4 in their own words.  When they have finished that they will memorize the paragraph.  This will have to be said by Wednesday.  

 

Wednesday-  Students will say paragraph 4.  Once they have said paragraph 4 they will begin studying paragraph 5.  

 

Thursday-  Today will be spent studying and memorizing paragraph 5.  
Friday-  Students will say paragraph 5.  When they are complete they will need to get their test review over the 3 thought questions and fill in the blank of the FFA creed.

9/3-9/6

Tuesday- Students will say the first paragraph of the FFA creed.  This will be done in front of the class.  Once students have finished they will begin studying paragraph 2.

 

Wednesday- Students will study paragraph 2.  They will do this by writing each paragraph and putting a picture with each of the paragraphs.  

 

Thursday-  Students will say paragraph 2.  Once they have finished this they will begin studying paragraph 3.

 

Friday-  Students will study paragraph 3.  They will do this be rewriting the paragraph in their own words.  Once they have completed this task they will begin memorizing paragraph 3 which will have to be said on Monday.  

 

Lesson Plans 8/29-9/2

Monday

Objectives:  Students will be able to identify important dates in FFA history

 

Today will be a lecture type class with many engaging questions for the students.  We will discuss FFA structure as well as FFA history.  When we have completed these things students will need to complete the activity on google classroom.  

 

Warm Up:  Draw a picture of what official dress may have looked like in 1930

 

Tuesday  

 

Review for an FFA knowledge and history test.  We will review for the multiple choice choice section as well as an essay section.  Students will complete a review and we will test after.

 

Wednesday

Objective:  Students will be tested over FFA knowledge and history.  

 

Warm Up:  Answer the 3 questions on the board in your spiral

 

Students will take their FFA knowledge and history test today.  When they are finished with their test they will be handed the FFA creed to begin memorizing.  

 

Thursday and Friday

 

Objectives:  Students will recite the FFA Creed

 

Warm Up:  Using your chromebooks find the FFA creed in the official FFA mannual

 

Students will spend time memorizing the first paragraph of the FFA creed.  Today we will work on this together and students will be expected to say the first paragraph by Monday

 

8/22-8/26

Monday-

Objectives:  Students will be able to function in my classroom with little to no distraction by following the class rules and procedures

 

We will spend this day doing introductions as well as going over all of the rules.  For introductions students will be drawing constructing a picture of them with the following things on it

  • Your Grade in School

 

  • An activity you are involved in

 

  • Your favorite flower

 

  • Your family

 

  • Your future career

 

  • What you want to do after you graduate high school

 

  • Your pet

 

  • Your goal in life

 

  • Your favorite color

 

  • Your favorite food

 

  • Why you are taking principles of agriculture

 

Following introductions we will go over class rules and procedures.  We will practice 3 of the procedures we will have discussed before students leave.

 

Tuesday-

 

Objectives:  Students will understand many of the opportunities that the FFA can and will provide to them in this class.  

 

Today we will discuss the many things that the organization they are now involved with can offer to them.  Following our discussion they will be asked to fill out a google form explaining any of their interest in this organization so we can send them more information.

 

Wednesday-

(5)  The student analyzes the structure of agricultural leadership in organizations. The student is expected to:

Today we will begin our unit over FFA knowledge and history.  We will start by downloading the FFA manual we will begin our unit be creating a mission statement.  “FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success.  They will then complete the worksheet on google classroom over the FFA mission statement.  

 

Warm Up-  Google classroom (Go on the White Oak high school home page and pull up the mission statement.)

Objectives:  Students will be able to state the FFA mission statement and motto

 

By the end of the class period I would like students to be able to say the mission statement as well as the FFA motto each for a daily grade.  After we have discussed the motto students will be asked to complete the worksheet on google classroom.
